Air Intake / Intercooler Piping Upgrade

Air Intake / Intercooler Piping Upgrade
I was interested to know if upgrading the air intake to turbo from AFM is a decent basic bolt on upgrade before getting a tune aswell as changing out the intercooler piping?
I'm looking at doing as much as I can with a ECU flash without going any further, so interested to know the basic modifications to get out of the way first.

So far have done turbo back 3" exhaust, pod filter & boost controller. Will be putting a cold air box together sometime also.
