rebuild

my evo 5 engine internals got broken..

1st
i wanna rebuild my engine but my biggest concern is labor .. $$$$$

i know a very good mechanic.(Cheap).but he never done turbo engines or stuff like that before.

can i let him work on the engine..(for the mechanical part)?

2nd

do you guys recommend AMS advanced rebuild kit..?


any speacial comment i should tell to the mechanic abt the build..?

what kind of power/boost were you putting down before it died out?

1.2 bar..the boost wasnt the problem..

i gave it to my cousin the car has a MINES upgraded ECU (it came along with the engine)

he used to shift on 8000rpm..(and i didnt reflash the ecu) so it might be a tuning or the high rpm issue... not sure..

i got a evo 8 ecu now..and i will use it but when i rebuild but

i need someone to answer my question..can this normal mechanic work on the rebuild..?

just a simple question and i hope someone gives me an answer this time my questions are always ignored.

ams advanced rebuild kit

Mitsubishi Timing Package
Mitsubishi Water Pump Kit
Mitsubishi Oil Pump Kit

those are oem..?

are they really recommended if the ones i have are in good condition?

i am thinking i could just get the basic kit and add ARP head stud to it..?

i need some advice thanx
