so removing SAFC will not harm tuning?? appears as if it is spliced in

removing vishnu is ok also?? would that mean stock ecu is unharmed for tuning?

Yea I'd just bring the car and have it tuned on the stock ECU. Just dont boost the heck out of the car untill it's tuned

Hey Jorge.... I think most of these guys nailed it.

My opinion.... The HKS 272 cams are just fine. They are plenty aggressive for a stock like turbo. Since you have an 05 ... I don't think moving to an EVO9 turbo will be worth your trouble. I had an 03 that I upgraded to the 10.5HS and that was a nice jump. Then I upgraded to an EVO9 turbo and I didn't think it provided enough bang for the buck. However you can find pretty cheap gen1 FP Greens and that would provide a nice bump.

I don't think pulling the fuel rail is going to be worth the trouble. That is unless you can find a cheap stock one and a buyer for the perrin. Really though its not causing any harm so you might as well not fix something that's not broke.

I would loss the tial and HKS header. Replace both with stock parts. Both can easily be had for $75 each.

As for the FMIC and pipes..... I think Perrin makes decent stuff. Post some pics so we know what you actually have. Example... is it the perrin boost tube or a hard pipe.

Hits us back.

Perrin IC is great! As for the IC pipes... Not so much. I would switch to an FP Green, Red, or Black depending on your HP goal. I would go with the Forge RS BOV. Ditch the apexi and alcohol injection. Bigger injectors, and depending what your goals are, the list may never end.

ditch the ewg and extra non necessary stuff: hks manifold, bov, smc kit(has no failsafe and has known to be not the best and most confidence inspiring part)

get a fp hta green and if you have it available e85 (if not get an aquamist and meth and stay with pump gas) and some kelford cams(if you feel like you love top end, then get fpred too but on stock block go for safety)

I like using a larger turbocharger and not stressing my motor.

i found someone local with Injen IC pipes and intake for sale.

can i use stock wastegate with this setup? i would love fp red. if i can find a decent turbo cheap of course i will swap it out.

idc about the fuel rail really. i know its worthless.

ideally i want to keep it nice but a daily driver and roadtrip car. i have to change my car lineup as evo is 3rd right now. either i sell it and move away from evo or i keep it and trade in 2 other cars for something for my wife. i got the evo cheap a few months ago so i can run it for awhile and still make my money back.

i dont have time/money to have heaviily modded evo as i dont have time to work on it. my only benefit is working for a Mitsu dealer. i just want to maintain it and be able to go places with it family aboard also.

yah, if you can't afford for it to fail(hindsight is 20/20, and I don't give the same advice I use to give) just stick with a couple bolt on's and just a turbo back exhaust and a tune. You can be really happy with the stock turbo and get ~400whp VERY reliably. I come from a subaru background so ~330 whp is all you could get out of an STi with a stock turbo so for me that wasn't enough power and swapping the turbo's on an STi=no reliability; but ~400whp+ can be had with just the stock turbo in an evo. From what info you are giving me, it seems like you aren't an idiot; which is why I even bothered to type this paragraph.

Check out the stock turbo power because the evo can make so much damn power on that stock turbo, and if that's not enough don't spend another dollar on bolt on's or tuning or anything; just buy a larger turbo and just the necessary parts to be able to run it(injectors, fuel pump, tune)

pm me if you have any questions and hopefully I can lead you in the right direction
