if you are running the stock turbo you can get a jmfab/epm/qtp/shearer o2 dump...or you can get MAPerformance's external wastegated downpipe set up

Yes it does give you more power. That one in the video is a EPM o2 dump. I have the same one in my car. At first i hated it because i thought it would be less like a turbulent exhaust sound and more like a TON of air rushing out. I honestly wanted it off right away. Then i got used to it and i am in love with it. The reason is at normal driving, even semi-spirited its completley quiet. Then when you want it gets LOUD!!!

im eventually going to get both the cut out and i already have the epm dump tube. so pretty much its going to be loud at idle"cut out" and get really loud when i boost"dump tube".

cutout implies that a flange opens in the exhaust where the test pipe would be...thus shortening the length of your exhaust

o2 dump strictly dumps the excess wastegate exhaust and lets the exhaust flowing through the turbo flow through the exhaust as it usually would

both do the same thing...take away restrictions and decrease back pressure

Silly question, i know..but...

Would this part NEED a retune? What problems could persist without one?

I would recommend a retune as your afr's will be changed because of the increased flow.
