I don't think they are meant to be light. Probably being bullet proof was their only concern.

A 652 gram connecting rod that we feel is the strongest and most reliable steel connecting rod available on the market for this application. You are correct Sir!

No fitment issues whatsoever. In fact, these rods are among a select few that can be used in the 2.3l applications without having to clearance the bottom of the bore
