any pro/cons Kelford Cams 280/282 Evo9
I was wondering if any evo IX onwers had ever used the Kelford 280/282 cams for the evo IX (with the Mivec and all) What where the pros & cons? Is there a noticeable gains with a tune on the top end and what about the low end? Also with little to no mods, is it worth it to go that big that soon? I mean I could just buy them and put them in and get a tune and then add on later, but I am not sure if it will harm the motor in any way. I want them but just not sure please give me your .02 cents i'll take any type of info!mods: K&N open filter, TBE with a full TI catback, exedy twin HD, strai 60mm boost/EGT/oil temp. gauges, b&m short shifter and will soon get a Buschur Deluxe Intercooler with Lower intercooler piping. (other small stuff)
Thank you for your time!

we have never seen any issue with them snapping andhave installed and sold a ton of them, however i wouldnt advise you to get the 280/272 setup unless you have a pretty large turbo (larger than a 35r) they have some serious lift and need some pretty beefy springs

I have 272's in my 8. And honestly I couldnt be happier, I'm sure 272's will be enough, unless you have some crazy build in mind? But for me the 272's are perfect for the street. You wont be disappointed
we have used just about every cam there is. We really like GSC, and kelfords. most of our customer cars are Kelford unless they request GSC. the 272 as we see it is BY FAR the best cam across the powerband on a stock to 61mm turbo. I would suggest going with the 272 if you are mostly stock. Let me know if i can get you a set
