Will an Exedy Twin Hold This?

Getting an FP Red soon and it's going to be on stock internals so I won't be running more than 30psi and it'll all be on pump gas. I've been told that the twin might not hold it. Is this true or will I be good to go?

Also if anybody has a used twin for sale, PM me with asking price.

Thanks in advance

Yea I was a bit surprised to hear that it might slip but I always thought it would hold it no problem...Just want to be sure before I make the decision though.

Thanks!

I was in the market for a Quartermaster also but they're just not as available as the Exedy is. I tried looking but I didn't find any websites that sell the rebuild kit. Not sure if you have to send it in to QM or what...

hey man, if you are looking to make great power you might want to consider other drivetrain components as well.

the t-case is definately the weak point. you should just save for a shep or TRE t-case. your stock tranny can hold the power. its the t-case thats the enemy.

i lost 2 t-cases on my old evo when i was racing

the exedy twin HD will hold up to 550 or so horse.

The SD is only good to about 450 horse..

FYI.

Everyone in this thread that has refered to a clutches holding capacity by a horsepower number is wrong and in need of more research before further posting on this topic. Clutches are rated by torque, and yes OP an exedy twin should hold the amount of torque a red makes on pump just fine.
