Boost gauge concern - help?

Hey Guys,

I just recently installed a Stewart Warner 30 Hg - 25 Psi boost gauge in my 2004 Evo I just picked up back in November and I'm noticing that it's only hitting about 16 or maybe 17psi at full boost. Searching around I read that stock boost was roughly around 19psi then declines to around 16psi at higher rpms. I'm just throwing this out there but could this be the result of a leak somewhere in the vacuum line connections? I made sure all the zip ties were tight but of course I haven't checked for leaks yet because I haven't had a chance to bring a buddy with me for a ride to place his hand under the dash where the nylon tubing joins some rubber vacuum tubing.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Sounds like you're hitting wastegate boost. Make sure you have the factory boost solenoid hooked up.
