Drag Cam Recommendations
This one is for my neighbor, doing a 4G63 in an 82 Corolla drag car. He wanted to get some recommendations on what cams would fit well with his build for an all out drag car. I immediately thought of the Kelfords and Comps, but the guy doesn't want to run 288s. He got Kiggly Beehives and ti retainers, and running upgraded hydraulic lifters. The car will be running alcohol. Just want to get an idea of what you guys think. Thanks

Problem is we are not in favor of the solid lifters, and I believe Jun recommends using solid lifters.
As of current, I'm looking at the Kelford 280/276, GSC S3, and FP5Rs. The motor has been stroked to 2.3, and running custom 8.5 to 1 Wiseco pistons. We're worried about the piston to valve clearance. Anyone want to chime in one that?

why do a 2.3 if its a drag car ? the 2.0 or 2.1 would have been better suited but in any case i think you are on the right track with kelford setup and the fp5rs i just took alook at them myself a few days ago and it seems like a hassle just to run the fp5r i would not wanna mod the cyc head/componets in any way if i dident have to.
