car is basically stock cuz parts kind of hard here in trinidad.
an i think the rings going



but i got an airtrek turbo engine from a friend.
same 4g63t
could any internals work on my evo 3
would the block work on my engine?

or just order some ew pistons an rings

 

Hey Trini guy,
The evo III engine layout is opposite to that of the Airtrek (same as Evo 7,8)so I don't think the internals will be compatible.
Also the engine would spin the opposite direction, my 2 sense.

 

Pistons,rods are all compatible for evos 1-9. People assume that they don't work because the layout is in the opposite direction like midegade said.

Check dsmtuners.com there's a thread about the piston compatiblity regarding all 4g63s
