Cannot remove tcase from the trans.....
I have recently pulled my motor trans and tcase as one assembly....the gap between the tcase and trans is about an inch or less....it will not slide off......any ideas?....it feels like something is holding it in......
There is a output shaft that runs through the transmission driver side into the transfer case. You have to pull that out if you havent done so already in order to separate the transfer case.
Use a slide hammer and a bolt attached to pull it out. Looks something like this and can be borrowed from autozone or possibly some local auto parts stores.
