ok i wasnt clear i guess. the motor is out. ALL bolts holding tranny to block it. TOB is disconnected. its aleady seperated from block about an inch. but for some reason it just wont slide the rest of the way out. does anyone have any special techniques they use to do this as i know its a ***** to do but ive never had it take this long with no results.

The only thing I can think of you do not have the TOB fully disconnected. What you describe is exactly what the issue is when the TOB is not released. Like said before pics would be helpful. and once all the bolts are out and the TOB is disconnected it should not be a PITA to separate the two.

Most likely your tob isn't released. I unbolted the pressure plate bolts to separate it, then messed with the tob.

we had to hang our motor from the top of the engine lift and shake the s*** out of the trans for hours to get them to seperate. Same thing we had an inch and then it wouldnt budge. dont get too frustrated.
