New GSX eclispe turbo into evo 9.

Quick question....

Will an aftermarket 20g turbo for a GSX eclispe fit onto an EVO 9?

Thanks guys.

You would need a manifold such as this one from JMF:

For the cost involved, it wouldn't be worth it considering you'd be getting a compressor wheel that's barely larger than your stock turbo, and giving up your twin scroll turbine side.

Just to make sure you understand the other thing about this, For the work reconfiguring your downpipe and intercooler pipes you still wont make more than the stock 9 turbo. A MAXED out Evo3 makes 450+whp on E85, and I have never seen a 20G that I thought was worth it outperform an Evo3.

Save the 200 and look into a used Red or speed density since this is likely to give you as much as the 20G would have. Was it a legit real Td06 20G? I mean not a sleeper 20G or Hahn 20G?

I had the Hahn super 20 back in the day. Laid down a whopping 425hp on a dyno jet.

I would say you dont get around much. 20g definitely outperfroms evo 3 turbo. Here is evo 3 wheel inside 20g housing. although pound for pound the evo3 turbo is a better turbo the 20g outflows it by about 3lb/min when pushed.

The tomei turbo, map sst. and the original 6 blade green are all exact duplicates of the 20g wheel. they all outperfrom the evo 9 turbo.

but to answer OP question. you do not want to run a dsm turbo on evo 8/9 platform.

Me too! 280whp on a mustang, 20psi, pump gas, stock cams, s-afc tuning. LOL those were the days!
