Upper IC pipe size

Are there any disadvantages to running 3" uicp over 2.5"? I was looking into buying JMFabs 3" piping but couldn't find any data with anyone running it. Would I be better off sticking with a short route 2.5" uicp?

TIA

how much power are you pushjing and what company is it?

ETS recommends that you only use a 2.5" UIPC because going to a 3" requires a custom intake manifold. So its for much higher horsepower (700+ I believe) applications and may have negative effects if not put on the proper car

I would recomment short route 2.5". Thats what I'm doing and I'm making 500whp on a FP RED

We use a 3"UICP on our shop 6765 car and they are def huge. It is really not needed at all unless u are running a large intake mani with a 75mm tb and something around 700-800 hp
