Bored With Two Turbos
Ya this thread def went south but im actually moving out late this year. Im moving in with some close friends of mine as i am tired of being home. Anyways how about we get this thread back on the right track guys lol.. Who cares that im 19 and i make enought money to pay for my car, sorry i work for it. Also i dont have 1 credit card, im not stupid like most people that get them.
Count this as one vote for the gheyest thread evar.
My guess from this very short thread is that you have some experience with wrenching on cars so you help your friends out. They pay you, you spend that money on parts for your own car, then you build it yourself. Am I right? That's all fine and good, and respectible-- I wish I could do that.
But very soon you'll be Hood Rich-- living with your parents but with a $$$ car-- and pissed off. Because you'll get older and (maybe) realize that you had a fantastic opportunity to bank a ton of money and set yourself up for the long-term. And you'll realize you could've done that while still having only a 500whp Evo which was actually streetable, saving you driving an 11-yr old Honda Econobox on a daily basis.
Anyway, I say this as a grizzled 27-yr old who, at 19, had the same aspirations as you do but a severly lacking cash flow. And I can 100% honestly say I'm glad I didn't have the cash flow because I know I'd have the exact feelings I described above.
I'll get off my soap box now. Good luck with the build; I hope it turns exactly as you think it will.

Exactly! Follow your passions Evokid03. Live Life, its not right just saving every cent you have and not use it until your much older. My father lost 28,000 because of that kind of behavior. If you have the money to do what you want, by all means please do, especially if you are on your way to a good future anyway.
its stored at my bros house in valpo right now while im at school. i constantly change my mind with what I want to do next. I really wanted to do rims, but I'm going to wait and save my money. As of now, im going to powder coat the stock rims, e85 conversion (need: wideband, boost guage, fuel pump, mod bov) custom licp, uicp and i already have 1450s. and of course the kuniizzzee retune
^ Looks like ur following my footsteps
, Trust me man kunal is a awesome guy and we have build a great friendship. We are always hanging out and whatnot. Listen from someone who has had past experiences. With kunal you don't need a wideband, all u need is a boost gauge, he will get ur car running great and you wont have to worry about a thing. For a Bov setup i went with a buschur uicp and got a tial bov, work great for me. As far as licp and uicp, uicp is a waste of money if your trying to go for power, if you are changing the bov source then of course you would have to change the uicp but if not don't spend ur money. On the other hand the LICP does make a difference, i had a ams licp on my car and it worked great. Best advice to you is to try and find those simple parts used on the forums and help save you money.

Yah, Kunal is a great guy. I can get the custom piping for a great price from my sponsors at Apex Muffler and Repair in michigan city. I don't want to spend money on a bov right now if i can get away with just crushing my stock IX. Ohh, I also will be installing a buschur ported intake manifold
I thought I needed a wideband for safety??
