If you could convert the Black to a ball bearing turbo as opposed to its current journal bearing state. So is this possible? This post could be totally ignorant as I know nothing about the inner installation of turboshafts.

 

of course it's possible, but then you would be looking at a $3,000 bolt on FP Black BB turbo.

 

What would be the downside of having a ball bearing cartridge on a Black. I'd assume that since it is a stock-frame turbo that there could be a possibility of surge, because of the decreased time for it to spool.
