Absolutely, do both lower is where the real gains will come from but the upper is also worth it imo. There is all kinds of after market intercoolers that use stock location pipes so don't let that hold you back if you do plan on upgrading the ic. Good luck with your decision.

And, I am selling an Injen UICP... you can use with your stock battery.

i think ETS LICP made the most power, i myself run a muse LICP and UICP. for most UICP u need to run a mini battery though.

Does anyone have any actual gains from the ETS short route UICP?

I do not believe there is much difference in gains between a short route with mini battery vs a regular route aftermarket piping.

The UICP does not really offer much gains all in all, the LICP is where spool is much quicker and gains can be made. ETS LICP has shown to make more hp than other brands. I recommend ETS LICP and try to find an UICP that also includes an intake pipe, such as injen which I also recommend.

By gains I mean spool/throttle response. I know you get more power from the LICP, but I was wondering if anyone has noticed a difference with the change of UICP?

I know numerous Evos that run oem UICP and intake. One of my friends has LICP, FMIC, cams, etc, but oem UICP and he makes considerable power. Adding aftermarket UICP may only add a few more horsies.

All in all, aftermarket UICP may be the least bang for the buck.

I am considering the LICP my only question is I am running the stock type set up I currently have an HKS drop in filter (wich will be replaced with either a perrin or K&N reusable type drop in ) with a rex speed stock style snorkle, would the LICP be a good next step?
