Nope pretty straight forward man. Pulley off, WP bolts out, new pump and gasket in, pulley on.

ive heard you got to take the timming belt of in order to take the pump out... Any way I can do this without messin with my belt, because it is pain. I just replaced the belt with the motor of the car and it was hard enough...

Take off the front right wheel and there is an access "hole" in the frame to allow you to access the pulley bolts. Just be careful and not drop the socket or bolt in the frame, it's a sonofagun to get stuff out of there.

so basically timing belt tensioner assembly needs to be removed in order to change the water pump? At least thats what it looks like:

Correct, also remember the water pump is held on with 5 bolts, one is directly behind the timing belt tensioner pulley so the timing belt pretty much has to come off or at least moved out of the way and the pulley and arm removed to get the last bolt off.

Thanks for putting this up. I'm doing my complete t-belt job this weekend. I was wondering if the water pump gasket needs any sealer, like gasket maker (helps seal), or is everyone just putting the gasket on. I'm happy if it doesn't need the goo.

gasket does not require any sealer, but it's a good idea to put a real thin bead of silicon between the pump and gasket to help the gasket stick in place while you try and get the bolts thru the pump.

At least that's my experience from doing it myself. If you have another pair of hands helping that might be a non issue.

Thanks dude! The silicon helped big time! I just forgot to put a pan down to catch all the coolant. It takes about 1 1/2 rolls of paper towels to clean up.
