Well, my 60k maintenance is right around the corner and I trying to make up my mind on replacing the rods and pistions or just waiting till I can completely build the bottom end?

Not to handle the FP Red at 40 PSI over and over again. Looking at the cost of rods and pistons, it's half the price to get a built short block with out labor. It don't seem cost effective.

Most will agree at 60k mile piston and rods just wouldn't be that affective. maybe at 30-40k but 60K just do the shortblock
