TOB Problem! Help!

I have a problem getting my throw out bearing to release. I have done many clutches so it is not that I do not know how. The problem is, my throw out bearing failed and came apart. It looks like when it did, it damaged the retainer that holds it in the clutch. I tried for a very long time last night to get it to release but I just cant. I am out of ideas at this point.

Has anyone had this problem?

Does anyone know the fix?

Thanks

You could either keep trying or just unbolt the 6 pressure plate bolts and pull the whole thing off together. You can actually manage to just fit a 1/4" drive ratchet with short extension and swivel 12mm up in the inspection hole where you realease the TOB

I've been at the TOB for hours on trying to pop it out. I gave up prying it through that little hole and just unbolted the PP from the flywheel. Took 20 min max and the tranny just dropped.

To make things easier, you don't need to unbolt it through the small inspection hole. I used the hole where the fork is, where the clutch slave pushes the fork.

Yeah, I saw that last night and I think that is what I am going to do. Thanks
