I'm finishing up an engine/ trans build, just got the trans back on. My question involves the stupid clip for the TOB. It kind of seemed like the discs (exedy twin) were not perfectly aligned with the flywheel when I put the trans on. I thought nothing of this because it wasn't off by much and the discs were perfect. Now, though, I can't get the clip to stay engaged on the TOB. It feels like it went, but then I can pop it back off by hand on the clutch fork. Is this because the clip is off center to the input shaft? And if that's the case, can I just loosen the bolts on the back of the flywheel to allow the discs to center?
