What would you do next?

Ok I don't if this has been brought up before sorry if it has, but I am stuck in a pickle.

Here is goes. I am wondering on what step I should do next with my list of mods in my sig. Should I do a turbo or get a built bottom end? I was thinking for doing a FP Black with 1000cc injectors. But I am kind of worried because my bottom end isn't built that something will go wrong and I would have to start from scratch.

Ok note that my motor is fixing to turn 100k. I have already done a new head gasket and belts. If I could I would do both at the same time. But can't kind of on a little budget with my tax returns.

So I am looking for some opinions out their on what I should really do next. What do you all think?

Thank you all for taken the time to read this.

Im doing about the same stuff as you are and im going to get an FP Red with 1000cc injectors. I have an AEM Meth kit, and im going to tune it for 525whp. ive seen stock blocks hold alot of power and it all depends on your tune. if you have a great tune and get no knock then id say ur golden!

Wha are your power goals and what does your car have for power now?

It depends on how you want to tune it with the FP Black turbo if you get that. If you keep a semi conservative tune with no knock and do not fully max out the turbo boost wise, the block should be ok. However, if you wanted to get every last horsey out of the Black, build the bottom end first, it can only benefit and avoid problems down the road.

my thought, stroke it, build it, something....

My thought is this, your block as been boosting for 100k miles.... looks like you have done a few things but I wouldnt take the chance of a boost happy turbo like the black or red and bolt it up to a 100k mile block.

im not saying your block is bad but it would not hurt to freshen it up.... I think if you stroke it and pick up the extra torque it will make any turbo you put on that much more fun with the quicker spool....

it will cost you more in the long run if you were to bolt up the turbo and have something happen to the block afterwards rather than building the block first....

I would recommend building the block or putting in the stroker and worry about the turbo later

i would throw a 35r on it to be honest. I feel these turbos are easier on stock engines because of the lag. They tend to come in more gradually, rather than a huge tq spike common with stock frame turbos which has been snapping rods like tooth picks lately

Ok. I have 3 people say go head and do a turbo and 4 that say do the block.

Yeah if I do the turbo I am not going to max out the turbo right off the rip.

Now when I did my head gasket this year the cylinder walls where great nothing wrong with them.

Man this is tough. The block would take most of my tax money to do.

It will cost you more than just a bottom end if it blows many times.. Tcases get wrecked, radiators, heads etc..

Build the bottom end since you plan on pushing the turbo to the limit right off the bat then!!
