Idle issue
Idle issue
Does the Injen intake system and uicp and licp cause some idle issues? When I put that system on I also cleaned out my throttle body and now the idle goes up and down 300-500 rpms from time to time and on the way to work yesterday it was closer to 1000 about 4 times in a row. I read that iac was a problem and I had the same problem on a honda years ago so does that sound like that may be the problem?
I have the Injen LICP/UICP/Intake system on my car right now and my RPM's just drop at idle from ~820 to ~300-500, then back up. Only at idle, often times happens multiple times in a row, like the car is suffocating itself.
I have a tune but I do not think the issue was addressed. I'm fairly certain that the issue revolves around the MAF, as I didn't have this problem before the piping, but have had it (it is worse now) after the E85 conversion. There is no CEL that is being thrown, other than the P0420 (Cat efficiency due to E85), and HIGHLY doubt that it is a problem with my PTE 1000 injectors, spark plugs, or coil pack.
When I get back home I'll be taking the car to be retuned for idle issues and a fine-tune on the street.

Both y'all should do boost leak test. I had no issues with idle when mine was installed. But when my throttle bottle was cleaned, I was told to drive around for a bit to let some carbon build up get into the crevices.
When I got my car tuned, I had a very small boost leak (would equate to approx 2-5 whp) in my throttle bodies. The idle issue started a while after I put the piping on (was installed when my car was at 8200 miles).
