If he has a twin turbo 4G he is one of few (if the only one). Who ever told you this story is probably wrong, either hyping a car he thinks is cool, misinformed, or thinks he is cool to talk about things he has no idea about.

It is possible he has a stroked 4G63, or a 4G64 swap, so the 2.4 liter is possible (what gen talon?) but the twin turbo no so much...

We can speculate all we want, the only way to figure out what he has or doesn't have is to see the engine! More than likely if he can't present the car/engine he doesn't have anything worth while.

Well, the thing I've learned is that there is a huge gap between people who know what they are talking about regarding cars...and people who "think" they know what they are talking about.

That being said, I'm not an expert by any means but I do know the 1G and 2G Talons/Eclipses were not TT motors. There is definitely a possibility that he has a stroked 2.4L motor, but the displacement would not warrant a 2nd turbo. I often see "Turbo" badges on cars that in no way shape or form have a turbo...thus adding a twin turbo into the mix may be the ramblings of a misinformed enthusiast.

I do know that the 2G motors were prone to crankwalk...which was resolved with the current gen 4G motor.

I would bet you CAN TT an Evo, but it wouldn't be cost effective. I've heard of a twin charged WRX and a TT SRT-4.

depending on what year the eagle is depends on which motor. the 1g had a 6 bolt while the 2g had the 7 bolt motors which was already stated that they had a problem with crank walk. One of the biggest difference is the evo motor is opposite of the talon motor ie. timing belt is on pass. side of evo while one the talon it is on the driverside.

The 4g63 has several variations. Generally, its easiest to see it in 3 main variations:

1) The "6 bolt" which came in several mitsus from 1989 to 1992 (roughly)
2) The "7 bolt" which came in several mitsus from 1992 to 1999 (roughly)
3) The "evo 4g63" which is a 7 bolt that came on mitsus from 1996 (Evo IV was the first) until the EvoIX. This was a mirror image of the previous but sat on the passenger side of the engine bay.

A lot of things changed between these generations but a lot remained the same. Some changes were in the compression ratio, head design, turbocharger size, connecting rod size, the addition of Mivec on the IX, among other changes. The biggest difference on DSM vs Evo was the switch of the engine going from driver to passenger side, and all of the updates that took place from 1995 (last year Mitsu developed the DSM 4g63) forward such as use of twin-scroll, gas filled valves, etc.

And to your last post, the 2g DSM 4g63 and the Evo 1-3 4g63 are interchageable (for the most part).

Yeah, the dude that says he has a 2.4L TT talon is 99.9% likely to be full of crap. He probably has a non-turbo Talon that he is going to do an "EVO-Swap, y0"
