All clutches wear similar on Evos?
I'm pretty certain my Competition Clutch 3.5 is slipping after 35k for some unknown reason (i really truly dont beat on my car) and I started to wonder, do a majority of clutches on Evos wear prematurely? After searing i've noticed more often than not that most cluches, aftermarket, wear around 20k-30k? Seriously? Numerous owners on here are selling used twin disc setups.
I have a basic modded Evo and I really just want a good DD clutch thats going to last me more than 60k miles. I utterly and completly regret my Competition Clutch purchase.
Will a twin disc clutch wear slower than a single disc? Can someone point me to a reliable clutch that will get me what I want? My evo is a pure DD.

I have seen an exedy twin last 68K.
I have seen an exedy twin dead in under 20K.
If you want a clutch that is going to last - and your not modded very far. I suggest contacting shep for the Exedy Stage 1 in an HD form. It is good for close to 400 tq to the wheels and will last you as long as you drive it right.

quoting mileage from a clutch is absolutely useless. how many times car was started from stop, drag raced from stop, and shifted is the needed info.
clutches are are high wear items. its friction material that wears down. there is no free lunch.
saw a 57 chevy at the track a few years ago with 1700hp. it had a 4 disc clutch that was serviced after every two passes. the more hp you make the faster the friction material wears. make sense?
35k out of a 650$ clutch is doing very well most likely depending on how many city miles that includes.
