Timing belt kit + Balance shaft removal
Timing belt kit + Balance shaft removal
So i'm about to do my 60k service(timing belt, water pump....etc) and i was thinking, that while I'm in there, i should delete my balance shafts.
My question is this, how much harder is it going to be to delete the balance shafts during the standard timing belt service? Also, i wouldn't need the balance shaft belts and associated parts, i would just need to order the timing belt stuff (i.e. -Timing Belt -Timing Belt Tensioner -Timing Belt Tensioner Pulley -Timing Belt Idler Pulley -Water Pump) along with the Balance shaft delete kit, right?
Does anybody know if MitsubishiParts.net can put together this sort of kit for the people that want to rid themselves of the balance shafts, yet do the timing belt service? I don't see a kit of this sort on their website.

That's what i was afraid of. I know the transfer case has to be dropped along with the motor mounts and the whole front case of the engine needs to be removed....but other than that, that's all I'm aware of.
