That one piece turbo inlet intake is damn nice looking piece. Very nice. Very cool supplementary injector setup on the manifold to. Is the turbo heat/ceramic coated?

Has anybody asked if these parts are available yet? Last I heard they were still in development. I might give APS a call and find out.

i have one problem in particular with it.

If any of you have ever stuck your head close to the airbox, and watch the intercooler spray at work, youll notice that the water gets all over the place. It doesn't just spray the intercooler, it sprays everything in the vicinity.

This cold air intake, i think, may be in that very vicinity. While it is true that the chance of several droplets of water making it into the intake, past the compressor wheel, through the intercooler, all while not turning to steam b/c of the heat is very low, i think the risk of the damage occuring far outweight the minimal benefit of the intake + its price.

Just my 2c.

i dont think its a problem,
you use ic spray only once in a while and it has two small nozzles
chances of getting filter wet enought send water to intake mani are slim

Remove the sprayer tank and disable that thing. Who uses it anyways?

I use it all the time. If Mitsu designed the EVO with an IC spray, then there is a purpose to it.

Good stuff, I used APS when I was modding the WRX. But they can get kind of pricy. I'll see what comes out later in about 36,000 miles or 3 years what ever comes first.

You'd have to really saturate an oiled filter element (be it paper/foam/etc) to actually have water permeate the element. It's not like the IC sprayer douses the unit.
