My Evo caught the Toyota fever!

So i was out logging today to work on my E85 tune

did my first 3rd gear pull and the road got a little bump or maybe it was my car?

after the pull my car felt funny so I turned it off and checked the CEL code. I had a barometric pressure sensor code and started the car. My idle shot up to 2.5k and held there so I shut off the car and cleared the code. After poking around the engine bay for a while I started the car back up and the idle shot up to 4k. I managed to drive it 20 minutes to get it home but it's still idling SUPER high. Even after the drive home there's no CELs.

Any idea what's wrong?!?! My car just wants to constantly accelerate if it's under 4k RPMs

Weird. Duno what it could be exactly. Did you check ur throttle cable to make sure its lined up right at the throttle body?

ya the throttle cable is all fine, it's closing just how it used to. I think i'm going to take off the UICP and make sure it's closing

seemed tight I just checked it. I know the hose that goes from my intake to my valve cover is loose but I dont think that would cause such a severe problem

Nah, that's just your PCV hose.

thanks for the ideas Carver

could it be something in the tune? I know I messed with my idle stepper tables to get the idle right with my cams, maybe I fudged something up a while ago and it just came up. I'm gonna throw on an old tune and see if it does anything.

throttle body is acting normally, i removed the UICP. Reflashed it again and still no CELs.....
It has to be a vacuum leak.

Check TPS signal, will it rev over 3K or is it just idling high?

it'll rev fine. It just wont go under 4k unless it's in gear and its being slowed down by braking.

i feel like an idiot. It was the TPS sensor. atleast I think so, it was sitting at 18%. I gotta put the car back together and find out. I'll post up if it was something else.

it's not the TPS. I turned it down all the way to 11% and the car still revs up to 2.5k when I start it.
