Engine Pulley Update

I am planning on buying the engine pulley. I go to the track once a month at willow springs, a 1.8 course. How is the engine pulley working? IS orthodox the only company that makes them?

Reliability? Idle? Power(low end and high end)

Please give reviews on this product

Thnx

I would stay away from pullies if I were you. Especially the crank pullies because they offer no harmonic dampening. You can get that 10hp elsewhere in tuning.

Have you seen the "dampener" that Misu's usually use - over time its one of those things that goes bad, causing your t belt to jump or snal, cuasing all sorts of problems.

I have had an UR crank pulley on my GVR4 for 5 years now...never had an issue at all (though the stock one did seperate and caused a snapped balance shaft belt, caught it in time to not damage the head though).

We have also had it on our shop 97 GST (built motor) for 3 years now without incident. On some cars they work great, on other cars, they are a no-no - all depends how the facoty pulley is made (not whether or not it has rubber in the middle, its how the rubber is put there)

I have had no problems with the crank pulley at all. It is completelt un noticable until you step on it.
