has anyone verified the accuracy of the 0-60mph timer on the HKS turbo timer?

Im a bit concerned, b/c the auto mode that starts the timer as soon as the car starts moving seems to clock MUCH faster then the countdown mode.

And i understand that reaction time is obviously a factor, but ive had some doubts recently about my car's true 0-60.

On the auto mode, ive clocked a 4.7
But on countdown mode, i clocked a 5.8, with about the same launch...

What proked all of this was today when i raced an SL500. I bogged a bit, but the timer showed a 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, yet he was only about 3 feet behind me, and those 500's dont run faster than a 5.7-5.8.

I did get several car lengths on a g35 coupe though, so im not quite sure what to think.

Any thoughts?

 

From running the HKS Type-1 on my cars in the past.. I don't know about the 0-60 times.. But I DO KNOW that the 1/4 mile times are .5 too fast than reality... So whatever times you get, just assume to put 1/2 second slower on top of that.. That should be the right time...
