Another Idle Problem
I need your advice.
Few weeks ago, my 03 Evo 8 couldn't idle anymore. My car runs fine and I did not have any major loss in power. My car turns on fine too when I have my foot on the gas pedal. As soon as I release the gas pedal, it died.
So this is what I did
1) I ordered the used 04 ISC and replaced it. The car turned on fine but started having the same symptoms in a week. (My stock ISC was broken for sure) I didn't really drive for a week. When I turned on the AC, the idle did not go up.
2) The part came with 30days warranty so I replaced with another 04 ISC. The car turns on fine but the idle speed is really low and it struggles to keep it on without giving more gas. When I turn on the AC, the idel goes up.
3) I took out the T-body and cleaned it. No change.
4) I checked the spark plugs. They were fine.
Can you recommend any more thing I can do by myself before I take it to the shop. My car's been running on E85 over a year and I didn't add any modification recently. This is my first major issue with this car.
