CEL Please help!! I'm worried

I just installed an Apexi S-AFC II in my car... I have Buschur Racing Specs and AMS specs.... I was running Burschur specs fine for a lot of miles and I decided to reset my ECU by disconnecting the neg battery terminal waiting and reattaching it.... I warmed the car up for 5 mins and began to drive pretty hard... No CEL up to this point... Then after letting the car cool I started it up and then bam the CEL came on.... I stopped set the SAFC to factory settings and reset the ECU again... I drove it around and no light... After letting it cool again I began to drive and the light came on again... I'm so damn worried about what this God damn SAFC may have done to my engine... It shouldn't be triggering if I'm at factory specs right now... Please someone help me out.. Please!!!

To start with you shouldn't have entered someone else's specs into your car, you always run the risk of damage, second readd the codes like pickle said and trouble shoot from there... I had an afc installed for a while and I never got code, then again I never got a chance to tune it

CEL's arn't really a big deal usually. probably something stupid like an o2 sensor misreading because of an exhaust or something thats not really major. jus pull the code

Prolly not, maybe you were runnign too lean with the SAFC settings. Its best to customize settings. Get teh code pulled just to be on the safe side. Hopefully its nothing bad.

Yea tomorrow I'm gonna get the code, but the damage must already be done, cuz I have the SAFC set to stock setting and it still gets triggered after resetting it... I don't know why these companies even give out settings if it's gonna do this to some peoples cars. I'm so upset at this point I just pray it's nothing big..

i doubt its anything big, the CEL light is really really picky about certain things. if it was major, you would probably know it by now. i.e; car not running.

If you changed the setting on the SAFC and it still thru the CEL light, I would disconnect the battery, and reseat all the cables..then reconnect the battery, and try it again.

I think you guys are correct about nothing serious being wrong because I just drove and drove for a while and the car drives like normal and no unusual noises or bangs are coming from the engine.. No smells and the same amount of power as usual... I hope it's something that has to do with the MAF... Someone mentioned something like that a while ago after installing on of these SAFC

For Gods Sake. Your car is fine (if you used buschur or AMS settings). You have a piggyback computer which still requires your stock ecu to be in the car. Your stock ECU pulls timing for knock. None of these vendors settings are that aggressive.

Double check your splice to the knock-sensor wire.
