power steering pressure sensor (p0554)
power steering pressure sensor (p0554)
After a day at the track, about 10 passes. I noticed a high idle and the p0554 code. I haven't heard of this before, and couldn't find any info with search. Just replace the sensor and be good to go??
I have the opposite of this problem, My idle will not go up when the power steering puts a load on the motor. I missed unplugging this wire while removing the engine and pulled it out of the pump. Just take a look at you power steering pump there should be one single wire running out of it, unplug that and see if you still have your problem. I run mine unpluggedand never get a code for it.
bumping a old thread but i just pulled my wire out of the sensor as well its very easy to do with it being a small wire (22 gauge) i think so good to know i will not get a code for it.
