need help with timing

There are two How-Tos regarding timing belt replacement, as well as the FSM directions. I'm at the point of lining everything up before pulling the TB off but I've seen a conflict between the how-tos and the FSM.

The FSM shows a diagram of the crankshaft pully and indicates the timing mark to lign up against being around 11:00. One of the How-Tos says to line it up to the "T" next to the BTDC markings above the pully. That "T" appears closer to 1:00 (between 12:00 and 1:00). The other How-To simply directs us to "line up the timing marks on the crankshaft".

So which is it?
I've attached a picture of my crankshaft pully (from an 03 evo III). You can see the bolt with a little guiding notch around 11:00 (circled in black), but you'll just have to trust me on the "T" being closer to 1:00 (circled in green) since it was on the lower TB cover (if I remember right).

Also, I'm assuming I need to lign up the little notch that's on the crankshaft sprocket (seen in the picture right at 9:00 and circled in blue, close to the cleanspot that I rubbed in to the metal).

I'm working on this with someone who has replaced other timing belts before, but never on a 4G63. I might be able to figure this out on my own when I take another look at it this weekend, but it might help to get some clarification for anybody else that wants to do this. It confused the both of us to have the How-TOs apparently disagreeing with the FSM.

There will be a timing mark on the oil pump case there that you line up with the notch on the plate that's behind the timing belt gear.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-belt-how.html <-- I'm pretty sure this should cover everything you needed to know.

The cams and all of the sprockets will all be lined up with their corresponding marks. You can also put the lower cover back on and slide the crank pulley on there and line it up with the 0* TDC on there to line everything up, but be careful that the cam gears are not 180* out.

for some reason i cant make it any larger, just right click and save as; then you can zoom in a bit.
and when you put your crank pully back on it should line up with the "T" mark on the plastic cover behind it.
