Having problems with my powerband. Cams?

So the other day i got dyno tuned and we ended up stopping at 575 to the wheels do to some sort of restriction. My tuner seems to think its my turbo xs exhaust (has 3 resonators--not sure if thats a factor). Im questioning the cams themselves. I bought a set of GSC S3's to go along with my 6262 setup. The weird thing is once the cams were installed i am unable to hear them. The tune that was previously in the car (when cams were initially installed) was from my fp red setup with hks 272s. The car sounds stock...considering i do have an evo ix, im sure mivec plays a factor...but to sound stock without even changing the tune from hks 272s?

My power drops off around 7200. i need to find my restriction...any thoughts?

Exhaust is the first place i would look. Sounds restrictive. I would go with a full turbo back 3.5in....You will make more peak power and more max torque for sure. It will also increase spool time.

Also, might be your tuner too, among other factors. Re-evaluate your setup and see what you come up with.

How rich are you running at idle?

A good way to test the exhaust theory was to unbolt the cat back section or the resonator section and then try again

Assuming it's the MIVEC that makes it sound like stock.

buschur's badbish is still on a 3 inch exhaust and i believe his is around 700 hp on his dyno. but it might be your resonator. just like what someone already suggested remove the cat back and see. i also suggest checking for boost leaks. also could you give a full list of your power mods so that we could see what might be restrictive in your setup.

MIVEC is on the intake only. Your car sounds bone stock at idle. Also, resonators are straight through pieces of pipe with holes in them and some material to absorb some sound. My friend is making 803whp with a 4.6l and a billet 76mm(3"dp)..so I highly doubt its the exhaust.
