Mikey -

Your car is going to be an animal! In for results.

Thanks,

Michael

Thanks Marti. I think most of us are interested in what it will do. I know that ER and myself are very excited to see how it performs Thanks for your interest!

Thanks Michael. You will have to try and make the dyno if you are not to busy, not sure when it will be but Aaron should know by mid May. I think kill mode will be sick!

I decided to stick with stock frame for a few reasons. We have some things we are wanting to test, I like to have fast spool, and the fact that it is cheap can't be beat for such a great turbo!

The FP Black can make about the same power as a HTA3582. I plan to show this

I'm a little confused as to why the rev limiter was set so high since the engine was on stock springs/retainers/rods/pistons/crank/etc... So I don't know. I'll know more once I get the engine pulled this next weekend.

I went to 8400 making 540whp... stock long block. Hell... I mis-shifted it and saw 10k+ Rods stayed in the block.

Damage control.

I certainly didn't meant to derail the thread or publicly attack ER in any way. I've spoken with Aaron on the phone more than once and he has been nothing short of polite and informative.

I was trying to express my concern and obvious reluctance to go back to the same shop that worked on the vehicle that I currently have sitting in the garage with a hole in the block. I am almost positive that the failure was due to the abuse of the previous owner and not attributed to poor workmanship from ER. Every single thing I've ever heard/read about those guys has been nothing short of stellar and I certainly did not mean to attack, bash, or trash talk their shop or reputation. I was simply trying to display caution returning to the original shop to purchase a new shortblock.

I understand you pay what you get for. Trust me, I do. I also understand that you guys deal with top quality parts and that is why you don't run built engines out the door like a welfare family pumps out kids. Your work is nothing short of top notch and that is obvious to anyone who sees the work. The other side of the fence is if I buy an engine from you guys, that's another 2 months my car will be done while I save up the money, so it's a very tough decision on my part.

To Mikey, again, sorry for derailing your thread man. Honestly, I can not wait to see the outcome and results. Cheers.

Well I wouldn't say I love you Mikey, however you are a really good friend! I think we share a special bond as we are both from the sticks in Virginia about 45 minutes from each other and our high schools played each other!!! It was however strange as hell having dinner with you and Kelli during Jesus' birthday last year in Staunton...

Ya, I think it was a shock just to see you in Staunton! I still don't think of you being from the area some times. I was just so use to you being out here.
