any one running forge bov wonder what upper pipe you are using or how you got the forge to fit?

the forge one for the 8/9 are almost exactly the same as the stock besides of course the internal upgrades and such. No need for extra flanges or anything, direct bolt on you could say.

Have a friend who ran one and he hated it. After he ran the BPV he started having surge issues and the valve would not hold any boost at all. He replaced it rather quickly.

for an evo 9 there shouldnt be a need to change out the stock DV. unless yours is damaged or if you are pushing high boost all the time.

I have the Forge RS unit on my car and love it. The downside with having the stock ix metal bov is that it flutters down low in vacuum because of its STIFF spring. Yes the IX bov is perfect at holding boost , but to me I wanted a bov that wouldn't flutter down low when I was taking off from a light with a lil more throttle than usual. The RS was givin to me from a friend to try to see if my flutter went away , and sure enough it did. The RS bov has an adjustable spring , I'm currently running 14 clicks from full soft setting and loving it. The only sign of flutter I get is if I hold the throttle down for a tad bit @ 10psi then let off slowly then it will flutter , but if I duplicate the same situation and let off the gas fast then it won't do it.. Other than that it's a nice piece , and I'm able to live with letting off the gas fast if I'm in boost.
