BIG QUESTION :

Witch is the best air intake kit for my 2003 Evo 8??? And why???

1. ARC INDUCTION BOX

2. HKS SUCTION KIT

3. K&N TYPHOON KIT

out of the 3 id go for the hks suction. it comes with a maf pipe, coupleres, and filter kit. and the filter is an exposed mushroom filter so the air flow would be the best. the ARC looks great but its just a box w/filter elements. and last i wouldnt use the typhoon if i got it for free. good luck with your decision. btw. i went from stock to cone style filter, to injen, and now running a buschur maf pipe and filter kit. less bends= les turbulance

 

And you think the Buschur is better than the HKS?

 

Those are three of the worst out there. The HKS foam filter sucks. Get the Injen... it includes great IC pipes.

 

I have the HKS racing Suction and EVERYBODY keeps telling me that I have the best intake for the Evo. Yes most of them have the ARC super induction box. You get a lot of power for the racing suction as well look into it man. Its a good choice. Good Luck

 

HKS... most air flow to the turbo... the arc box is a waste of money.. its an aesthetics upgrade and for performance reasons its a waste... it raises your intake temperatures

ARC intake = crap.
People buy ARC stuff because it looks blingy.

Get the Buschur or HKS RS. I have the HKS RS right now, if I were to do it again I would have gotten the Buschur.

 

I have the amsoil filter and it works great. Dont bother with all the other high priced stuff.

The Vibrant filter that Buschur includes with his kit doesn't filter worth a crap, not to mention Perrin and Amsoil both made more power. Read the thread I linked to.
