Post Engine Swap

I think this question has been asked before, but I was wanting to know if I could swap this engine (http://www.tpautomotive.com/vShopping/mitsubishi.htm the second one down) into a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD? Even if I just have to adjust the mounts thats not a big deal at all. The only thing is, the engine in my Talon is pretty shot so I was wanting to drop something like that into it. I mean the Talon has 195HP, and that Galant engine has 280HP. I already have a complete exhaust system on my Talon, but my engine isn't running good at all. Just wondering if any of you had any ideas. Thanks for your time...

The info on that page is VERY misleading. It's true that the 4G Galant (88-92) and the 1/2G DSM's 4G63 are fairly close in output. However, the info that they put on the second pic is misleading:

Galant / Evolution IV & V / Turbo 4G63T
Part No: 4G63T Engine Package
AWD, Twin cam, efi, 1997cc, 16 valve, cyclone head, 4 cylinder, 280hp at 6500rpm, Torque: 38kgm at 3000rpm, Engine, tranny, ECU
First off the EVO IV+ 4G63T are not available in Galant, and the picture is showing a older Galant Turbo engine, which is not the same as the EVO IV+ engine. Their orientation are totally different.

My suggestion is shoot them an email to inquire the Galant VR-4 engine (205-210hp) or EVO I-III engine (250-275hp).

thanks for the info, but do you think the EVO I-III engine will fit into my talon with minor modifications?

As far as I remember, swapping in an EVO I-III engine into a 2G would be easier than putting it into a 1G.

Check on road race engineering web site to find out more

Hey i have a question....

Hey i have a technical question and i bet you have seen it before...Well i live in the USA and i really don't like the new Lancer since it's not Evo. Well is there a motor that fits the 97-up mirage, even if it's only a a front wheel drive, but as long as it's turbo, like an eclipse motor. or any motor, casue i really like hte evo V and i can't have one, but i can at least make one that looks like an evo V but runs like a GST eclipse

Even that sort of info is in the swap thread as well, hence why the word "Mirage" is in it's title.
