Evo 6 TME fuel cut when on 1/4 tank fuel?
Evo 6 TME fuel cut when on 1/4 tank fuel?
Hi everyone,
not sure if anyone has encountered this but and help/suggestion is appreciated. My evo 6 experiences violent fuel cute when i full throttle in first, 2nd and 3rd gear when the petrol reaches 1/4 tank, sometimes earlier.
We initially thought it was the fuel filter, or fuel pump, so we swapped them to new filter and a walbro gss342 pump was fitted. however the problem is still there. its weird because its almost like the issue is G-force related, because if i dont put my foot all the way down and let it gradually build speed, it wont cut.
It will not happen when i have a full tank of petrol so that deems the fuel pressure regulator and injectors working perfectly.
it is not fuel starvation as when i fill up the tank, the pump stops at 26 litres which is quite accurate as its a 45ish litre tank.
Finally, this is not a boost cut or fuel cut due to sucking in too much air and upping the boost, my boost limit was removed so this shouldn't happen.
Im almost 90% sure its somewhere in the fuel system. Anyone can suggest what i should do next?
Cheers!
