Wanted to switch from the BBK because it was too difficult to make 500whp. We had to ring it out pretty good past 33psi to make the #. I'm hoping the Black will get me there a lot easier
what is your logic saying the black can't hold boost etc? The black is "designed" to operate above 25 psi and at that power many people making 500 wheel with ease with great spoolup. combo that with a stroker or 2.4 and you have a speed demon on the streets. the t3 is great, but deeep pockets are needed. you're talking 4500 in parts for a good t3 build vs 1350 for fp black if you send in 9 core. thanks
Good luck with the testing. I have a shearer mani laying around and havent put it on. I hope you pick up on spool. the horsepower isnt that big of a deal because of noise, but anything to get that black to spool quicker and im in.

Talk to me like I'm 4; IM meaning intake manifold? If you meant intake pipe, yes, I'll be using a 3.5" intake pipe to the 3.25" surge cover inlet of the Black.
That's the exact reason why I'm not changing the O2 dump at the moment, because it won't be a true comparison if I change components. I really wanted to change it though because the turbo was off the car but Robert would probably fly here and kicked me in the nuts if I did
. This way we'll be able to see how the black performs vs the bbk then how the black reacts to the dump without any other mods going on the car.

Jeremy, this should be a great comparison! btw when are you headed down to ER? I have to go get my car next tuesday and could use a ride if you are headed down there. Let me know. Thanks bud.
