Turbonetics MBC Problem
Turbonetics MBC Problem
OK where to begin... OK, I had a GFB MBC installed in my car, I had no problems with, it would hold boost yadda yadda yadda. The only weird thing it did was make a hissing noise, and someone told me I may be running lean, to either change it or get a new one. Good thing is I had another GFB MBC, same thing. Note: All Hoses are new with no leaks. So I go down to miami, South Florida Performance (plug), and buy a turbonetics MBC, the MBC does go over 25 PSI/1.7 Bar when fully open. I installed it the same way I had the GFB MBC, New hoses, new T, and clamps were placed. Now the problem, Even with the MBC completly turned OFF it's running over 1.5 Bar, I can't seem to find any leaks or anything that may send the boost so high, it's not skyrocketing, it's within the MBC limits. The turbonetics MBC has to be sealed with plumbers tape, and i did that on all 4 plugs(2 are sealed off). it's installed just like the instructions say, i even blew on both ends to make sure it was working properly, blowing air only to one side, and air going through the exit port. Blew on the xit port and no air comes from the inlet side. so it' should be good.
the question is... WHY is my boost going so high even when the MBC is turned shut? like I said NO leaks in any hose, they are all new. I appreciate any help. OH yeah the boost goes over in 3-5 gear. thank you
P.S what is WOT?
