is it possible to run a bov that vents to the atmosphere with a super afc to stop it from leaning out or running rich ???

no it will stall out, there are certain ecu's and control untis that allow VTA but the s-afc does not support it.

 

I do NOT agree with this. Saying "it WILL stall out" is not accurate at all. I ahve 5000~ miles with my Blitz DD BOV VTA, and I have only had it spudder a handful of times... note: spudder, NOT stall... and the conditions were less then optimal, I was getting on it hard, got off, it back on then off again, it dropped to 800RPM and then bounced around (spuddered) to 1000RPM and then finally leveled itself off. Did I think it MIGHT stall, yeah; did it: No.

This occurance has happened mabye 5-6 times in the past 5000~ miles.

My vote - You're good to go.

 

I have the Blitz Super Sound Dual Drive BOV also. Have had the sputtering problem 7 or 8 times. But only when I have been driving hard and than hit a light and coast into a stop. I have talked to 5 or 6 other Evo owners here in AZ they had different VTA BOVs (HKS,Greddy) they said they had problems with stalling. The only other person here that I know that has the Blitz BOV hasn't had any problems with it.

 

with my 2g dsm I had an hks VTA and a greddy type s BOV

and I never had any problems.... but alot of people that did the same had issues.

If your gonna VTA make sure that your BOV also has the abillity to recircualte so you dont have to purchase a second one....

IE recirc kit available.
