Smile Need your advice with blow off valves please !

Hi there!

Can I ask for your help guys for how to decide abt which blow off valve to use please?

when do you go for circulation? without? tradeoffs?

recommended blow off valves for 550 whp? or 750 whp?

its a daily drive, road rcaing and autox car.

Thanks

i would not base what BOV you get with how much power you will be making but how much boost you will be running. i use a evo 9 bov modded my car is at 520 whp at 28 psi i am going to keep using the stocker until it starts to leak... worked great so far

I bet you pick up a few whp if you dump that valve my personal valve started leaking at a miserable 25psi. I suppose i could have crushed it but since i'm speed density the tial was more appealing.

Speaking of which don't use an atmospheric bov unless you are speed density.

Keep the stock IX BOV, just crush it.

Also, you might want to check your priorities. Auto-X is not meant for 550whp or 750whp cars. You'll get better results from a stock or stock-ish turbo that makes a lot of low and mid-range torque.

I have a Greddy Type S ...tested it up to 40psi. No leaks...will be a different story when the diaphgram goes. I also have a Forge RS bov...40psi test no leaks. Both drive great.

As a general rule, they don't work well with Evo's.

Tial Q Recirculated. Works great, get the benefit of having one of the best BOV's any turbocharged car can run with the Tial Q. Can swap springs for different pressures and still retain drivability on the stock MAF sensor. Win win if you ask me. I liked the APS Twin Vent also, but around 35psi it started to leak and flutter, so I switched it up and the drivability was greatly increased. Fluttering is totally gone and 0 leaks all the way up to my max of 35-36psi.

My car shutters real bad when lifting off part throttle with the stock IX bov with not many modifications. My APS twin vent runs perfectly.
