Problems building boost with FP Red

I just got done installing my new FP Red and now I'm having problems building boost.
I've got the 18psi actuator with it and it won't reach the 18 psi until 6k.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

check vacuum lines to the wastegate...do u have a boost gauge? is the gauge reading 18psi @ 6k or are you not seeing the wastegate open until 6k? also check for boost leaks?

Sounds like a big boost leak

check your preloading on the actuator too, should be about 1/2 a hole too tight (so you have to stretch it to get it onto the flapper arm).

if you're using an MBC it could be a clogged or bad MBC. That was my situation when I got my red.

Well it is most likely : (1) boost leak, (2) bad WGA - I had an FP 18psi WGA that crapped out, or (3) MBC issue....Based upon the fact you build boost at 6K, I am going to guess you have a leak.

Had similar issue with FP Black. I had a major boost leak and the WGA arm needed tightened up.

No. Obviously if he has an 18lb wastegate actuator, and isn't seeing 18lbs until 6K, it has nothing to do with the boost controller.

i have an 18lbs act. fpred seeing 25-30psi , but we have to tighten preload on the actuator to get 30psi.

I have a Greddy Profec 2 boost controller.

I was just trying to establish a baseline for boost on it and I was just using spring pressure.

It was building boost slowly, then at 6k it was hitting 18psi.

I did readjusted the actuator arm, but it bottomed out on the threads.

Now do I need to adjust the arm to where the flap in the O2 housing is open or closed?

what.......... something doesnt sound right there.......... id call FP. are you turning it the right way? lol. you want to make the rod shorter and make so its impossible to slip over the flapper arm until you pump pressure into the actuator and it moves the arm and allows you to slip it over.

When you say bottomed out, is that nut still on the rod? If so, try taking it off. It was on my black and I was able to screw it down even further.
