mikey, lmao@ somalia. that was unexpected

fp also makes a good cam for the 9

I have been on an anti Piracy team for the past feew months and Somalia just came to mind!

Agreed the FP cams are decent. Robert does put a lot of time into his cams but I still think the S2s are better than the 4Rs. jmo. However, the 5Rs are the **** for larger cams.

i wish people said more about the fp4rs. My only gripe about them is that i hear they are are difficult to dial in.

Anyone have more info on them????

I have heard the same thing and I don't bellieve Aaron at ER has played with the 4Rs or 5Rs for that matter. I'm not a tuner but I have heard the MIVEC maps for those are a bit different

I apologize, I was having a bad day. But last I knew a 4G63 was still a 4G63 whether it be 8 or 9 or whatever kinda car. However I run hks 262 I believe, not the best but it helps out. Kelford 272 are the best imo

I'm going to have to disagree a bit... You are correct that a 4G63 is a 4G63, however a VIII is no where close to being a IX. The IXs have the MIVEC which changes a lot when it comes to cams. That would be the difference in comparing an IVTEC honda to a non-VTEC honda... Night and day!!!

For an VIII Kelfords are betting imo but for the IX nothing is as good as Greg's technology in his S2s.

Actually I have spent some time with 4Rs and 5Rs on both Gasoline and E85. 2.0L and 2.3 as well ranging from stock turbos to 850Rs.

It's okay Mikey I am not picking on you I swear.

I thought back when I was looking at 5Rs you said you had not done that many. We all know you have done enough S2s and MIVEC maps to make 100hp over any other cam on the market though!

I just get even Aaron...

I havent done that many but the way I work and the data points I collect I really only need a few samples to compare cams vs displacement vs turbo size in my spreadsheets. Ever notice that I always test things at 23psi before I get crazy? Then usually 26 and 30? There is a reason my friend.

So what is your opinion on the 4R's? Care to also elaborate on the difference in the MIVEC map between the 4R's and the S2's?
