So they can make sure you know they made it. Otherwise I don't think it serves a funtional purpose lol

I am sure it has something to do with heat dissipation kind of like aluminum fins on a radiator or an AMP for a radio. You extend the material away from the heat source allowing it to dissipate the heat. But then again, I am just a tard im told.

Powdercoat FTW..don't paint it, within couple thousand miles if that it will look like ****..gets way to hot under the hood, also you can like smell the paint. Speaking from personal experience, do it right!

incorrect. you did not paint yours correctly. i know plenty of people with painted covers that are fine. how do you think you get lambo orange on a valve cover . hold up fine and not as much heat as you would like to believe
