E85 with meth injection results?

Looks like we have two gas stations here on the east end of Long Island that have E85, and there only a couple of minutes from my shop.
I have been using 93w 50/50 meth with great results but wonder if I should switch to E85.
I have a direct port setup with an extra nozzle 8" before the trottle body "5 nozzle altogether". I have put alot of work in this setup and would hate to just remove it if in fact I could get it to work with the E85.
Any of you experienced tuners out there want to share your thoughts on this?

Thanks

ditch the meth, e85 is going to be more powerful and consistent. Sell your meth kit and put that money towards the right injectors and tune

I talked to a few people who have tested e85 with meth and seen no gains at all.

Ditch the meth and go with e85. Tons better and safer.

I used 100% meth with e85 and made 550whp. Before I switched to e85 I ran 91 and meth. I don't have a double pumper and I was maxing out the RC1200s on a modified Walbro, so I turned on the meth to add more fuel. Eventually I decided to turn the boost down to 30psi and make 500whp without the meth.

We have run meth and E85. It works good since you still have high octane at all times. We really only used it as an intercooler since the little auto was without an intercooler in its initial build. The main advantage is it extends the fuel system without really having to run huge injectors all the time.

The amount of timing the car will take doesnt really change.

I guess I could keep it for reasons as you mentioned...either way its seems it may be time to make the switch as more becomes available

thanks for all the replies

For the record we have run E85/Meth in both DSMs and Evos and in multiple setups.

using meth as a fuel instead of upgrading injectors just makes it complicated, then you're going to have to tune for two fuels, it just doesn't make sense for this car.

There is no tuning for 2 fuels. Its still static AFR and timing is still at MBT. There are just alot of cars that still have meth systems installed and have switched to E85 as well. They could sell the kit and buy larger injectors I spose or just use what they already have. I wouldnt run out and buy a meth kit to add to my E85 setup, but if it was already there paid for why not?

And if you wanna cheat for a few lbs/min more airflow meth has other uses too.

to each their own but I wouldn't risk a meth pump kit failure for seemingly little or no gains when you have e85 available. keep it simple and reduce your chances of failure.

I see the benefit. E85 isn't available everywhere.
