cam cap order? yep, i searched.

okay. so i'm 99% sure i have all my cam caps in the correct order, i'm just paranoid and wanna be sure.

i know they are marked "I" and "E" for intake and exhaust respectively. i also know they arrow points toward the "front" of the motor. my questions:

i'm used to the "front" being the driver's side. on evos, it's the passenger side?

i'm also used to the cylinder order (when viewed from front of car) being 4-3-2-1.

is this the same as with an evo?

getting the intake and exhaust is easy. and pointing the right way is easy, seeing how the caps can't be fitted upside down.. i just want to be sure they are in the right order from left to right.

anyone?

i've done a search here (i'll admit i'm not the best at it) and checked the service manual. no luck. thanks in advance.

i'm an idiot. i re-checked the service manual. the #1 cap DOES say I-1 and E-1 so it goes left to right.

so.. if anyone else happens to search this question, there ya go.

I-1 (on end)/ I-2 / I-3 / I-4 / I-5

E-1 (on end)/ E-2 / E-3/ E-4 / E-5

for future reference, inline engines always have cylinders number from timing side to tranny side.
