MR pops out of 2nd??

My car was fine when i first got it but i noticed at high rpm downshifts itll ride for a few seconds then pop out of second. it only does it on downshifts when u just ride the rpms down to slow down. if i put my hand on the shifter it wont pop out, meaning there is really no force pushing it out cuz it only takes the weight of my hand to hold it in. all my other gears are fine and it doesnt pop out while accelerating or cruising just the downshifts.

any ideaas? im not very good with transmission problems

thanks in advancee

Try adjusting your tranny cables, see if they are good, if not it might be your synchros going out. The same thing happened to me in my MR, I had bad synchros and no 6th gear.

Hopefully it's your tranny cables and not the synchros

weak input shaft/case? as the gears mash together the force causes the two to almost push against each other

could check the back taper also.....NEEDS REBUILT most likely
